Pauline V. Beale, O.D.
Dr. Beale practiced in Lewiston since 1970, with a special emphasis on Low Vision Rehabilitation. She retired from full-time practice in April 2018 and is now enjoying much earned time with family and exploring new endeavors.
Dr. Beale is a graduate of Regis College, where she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society. Dr. Beale received her doctorate in optometry at the New England College of Optometry, where she graduated cum laude. Dr. Beale is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a diplomate of the Low Vision Section of America Academy of Optometry. She is past president of the Maine Optometric Association and the Maine Board of Optometry.
Dr. Beale has given extensive lectures in Low Vision Rehabilitation in the United States and Canada. She has been affiliated with the Maine Center for the Blind, Statewide Diabetic Eye Disease Prevention Program, and The Advisory Eye Committee for Maine Motor Vehicle Department.
